Athena is the a god transformation that Karin Hanazono does in the series Kamichama Karin. It is also her first transformation. She uses this trasformation to turn into the Goddess Athena. In the manga, in the first series, she only uses this god mode.

Manga[]

In the manga at first, she didn't know how to transform into Athena. This is because she felt alone and felt like she had no friends into it goes to the 2nd chapter. She felt like she needed someone to depend on and when Kazune was hurt she felt more pressure of wanting to protect him.

To activate the transformation, she has to protect something or someone that is most dear to her in order to make it work. When she uses the command words, "I am God" she successfully turns into Athena.

After her first battle, she faints because of the source of too much power.

Anime[]

In the anime, Karin uses her Transformation ring. To activate is almost similar to the manga. She must say a prayer and focus on protecting someone importing to her in order to work. She first raised her hand shouting the command the same words as it is shown in the manga, "I am God."

When transforming it shows her whole body zipping from top to bottom in one moment. When still transforming her eyes are open with her mouth still open. While still having her hand up in the air, spinning around, and her flowing gown appears with her big, giant hot pink bow from behind.

Athena, also referred to as Athene, is a very important goddess of many things. She is goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, strategic warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill.

She is known most specifically for her strategic skill in warfare and is often portrayed as companion of heroes and is the patron goddess of heroic endeavour.

Athena was born from ZEUS after he experienced an enormous headache and she sprang fully grown and in armour from his forehead. She has no mother but one of the most commonly cited stories is that Zeus lay with Metis, the goddess of crafty thought and wisdom, and then swallowed her whole as he feared she will give birth to a child more powerful than him because of a prophecy – but she had already conceived.

Athena was the Goddess of War, the female counterpart of ARES.
